German luxury car automaker BMW launched the iX1 electric SUV in the Indian market last year. The demand for the iX1 electric SUV was so high that within a few hours of its launch, all its units sold out. This is also the company’s fourth electric car in the country. It is based on the entry-level BMW X1 SUV. Globally, two variants of this electric car are available. Now, the company is offering a massive discount of Rs 7 lakh on this SUV. At the same time, its ex-showroom price is Rs 66.90 lakh.

The BMW iX1 electric car comes in two variants; the first is the eDrive 20 with single-motor and the xDrive 30 with dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. The Indian market has welcomed the launch of its xDrive 30 variant. In the Indian market, it will compete with Volvo XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge.

In terms of design, the BMW iX1 looks similar to its ICE model. However, the electric model’s closed grille with honeycomb mesh design makes it slightly different. In terms of the interior, the cabin has a 10.25-inch digital driver display and a 10.7-inch touchscreen entertainment system. It also features a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof for music enjoyment.

In the BMW iX1 electric SUV, the company has given a 66.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which promises to give a range of up to 440 km on a single charge. The vehicle’s dual electric motor setup generates 313 bhp and 494 Nm of peak torque. With this, it can reach a top speed of 180 km/h. Furthermore, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 5.6 seconds. In terms of safety, it has multi-airbags, a rear parking camera, park assist, and driver assistance.
