Audi Q8 facelift: Audi India has launched the facelift Audi Q8 SUV in Indian market. The company has set a starting price of Rs 117 crore (ex-showroom).

The Audi Q8 has always been a major player in the German luxury carmaker’s portfolio. Not just because it is a flagship SUV, but also because of its sporty styling, powerful driving experience, and luxurious cockpit. Audi says these features have been further enhanced in the Q8 facelift.

Booking Details

The latest Audi Q8 bookings began earlier this month for Rs 5 lakh. While this particular model was introduced globally last year, its launch in India is expected to give the manufacturer a boost. The company is investing heavily in it’s electric strategy also.

It produces 340 hp and 500 Nm of power. The 48V mild hybrid system also ensures better control of emissions and increased fuel efficiency. It comes in black. It has a two dimensional Audi logo, a larger jet and new head with Matrix technology. It also had an adjustable rear profile.

Interior and features

As for the interior, Q8 retains the typical Audi DNA. This is also one of its advantages. The layout has not changed much. The dual-screen setup in the middle, one for infotainment and the other for controlling the air-conditioning function, has also been retained.

The quality of materials in the cabin is generally top-notch, as Audi’s flagship SUV needs to retain its style. However, in terms of the features list, the Q8 is now more equipped. The list includes Bang & Olufsen source music system, ventilated front seats, ADAS and ambient lighting.

Competition

The Audi Q8 competes with the powerful cars like Mercedes GLS, BMW X7 and Volvo XC90 in Indian market. All of these models now have to compete with an ever-increasing number of car batteries.
